Brief Description

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Electrician to join our maintenance team at our industrial processing facility.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will play an important role in maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of our production equipment and associated electrical infrastructure.

This is a hands-on role suited to an electrician who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment, has strong fault-finding capabilities and takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard.

You will work closely with mechanical fitters, operators and other maintenance personnel to minimise downtime, improve plant performance and support ongoing maintenance and improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventative, corrective and breakdown electrical maintenance across the facility.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on industrial machinery, equipment and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical motors, drives, control circuits and switchboards.
- Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting and optimisation of automated plant and control systems.
- Undertake electrical installations, modifications and equipment upgrades.
- Support planned maintenance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all electrical work is completed in accordance with relevant Australian Standards and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues effectively.
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance personnel to maximise plant availability and reliability.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

- Current Australian Electrical Licence.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.




- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team.
- Solid commitment to workplace health and safety.

Highly Desirable

- Previous experience within the meat processing, meatworks, rendering or broader food manufacturing industry.
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
- Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, VSDs and motor control systems.
- Experience diagnosing electrical and control system faults.
- Exposure to industrial process equipment and automated production lines.
