About the Opportunity

An exciting prospect has become available for an experienced Estimator / Contract Administrator to join an established commercial construction business based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane. Working within a close-knit Queensland team, you will play an important role in the commercial delivery of projects, with a particular focus on retail construction, fit-outs and refurbishments.

This is a hands-on, varied position ideally suited to someone who enjoys working within a smaller construction business, where flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage contract administration activities across multiple commercial construction projects.
- Prepare and administer subcontractor packages, purchase orders and contracts.
- Manage progress claims, variations, cost reporting and project financials.
- Assist with estimating, tender preparation and subcontractor pricing when required.
- Review construction documentation, drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor project budgets, identify commercial risks and support cost-effective project delivery.
- Assist with procurement, project forecasting and general commercial administration.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator, Estimator or in a combined commercial role within the construction industry.




- Experience working for a smaller or mid-sized commercial construction contractor.
- Strong exposure to retail construction, fit-outs and refurbishments, ideally including major supermarket projects.
- Sound understanding of contract administration, procurement, cost management and tendering processes.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- A flexible, hands-on attitude and willingness to assist across different areas of the business.
- Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
