Position Overview: We are seeking a civil estimator to identify, analyse and prepare competitive tenders for an array of private, local council and state funded construction opportunities. We deliver subdivisions, road construction, water & sewer, bridges, culverts, reservoirs and parklands – a broad range, with no one project being the same!

Key Responsibilities:

- Review tender opportunities and provide recommendations to the directors
- Obtain a detailed understanding of each opportunity via a detailed review of tender documents, drawings, specifications and contract conditions.
- Develop construction methodologies, programs and accurate estimates for civil infrastructure projects
- Deliver a detailed vendor analysis process
- Create relationships with local subcontractors/suppliers including negotiating rates to assist with the accuracy of tender submissions
- Attend site inspections and tender meetings as required




- Prepare project handovers for the project delivery team and provide ongoing advice as required
- Help develop internal systems to improve the efficiency and accuracy of our tendering process over time.

Qualifications:

- 5 years estimating experience with exposure to civil construction projects across multiple funding bodies
- Previous experience in project delivery highly regarded
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, plant and labour specific to our region
- Proficient in estimating software, have an established process from commencement to project handover
- Ability to manage a multi-project, multi-disciplined workload
