Sydney

Location: Sydney

Reporting to: Head of Community, Corporate Partnerships and Communications

Type: Full time / one day remote The Events and Program Manager leads our events that convenes and activates givers, and runs our 10xer Program, our core volunteering program that culminates in several crowdfunding events across the country. This role plays a key part in our ambitious goal to unlock $100M in value for NFPs by June 2029.

In this role you will lead and facilitate the 10xer Program which is a national program that runs twice a year with 60 volunteers in each cohort. You will be the face of 10x10 for our volunteers, running the recruiting and onboarding, coordinating the delivery of the program with our Heads of City (lead volunteers) which will include leading national workshops (online) and providing the operational support to make the Program hum. Whilst our volunteers play some role in the delivery of our crowdfunding events, you will be responsible for overseeing event logistics, sponsorship and matched funding and supporting the delivery on the night.

Our volunteers are generally mid-career professionals from a range of industries including tech, VC, finance, legal, and broader business, so you'll be engaging with a diverse group of people and will need to adapt your communication appropriately.

You'll also be the first point of contact for our NFPs, often their first interaction with 10x10. Welcoming them into our community and ensuring they have what they need to pitch effectively is just the start of their relationship with 10x10.

Working with the Head of Community, Corporate Partnerships and Communications you will create new initiatives that foster connection between our NFPs and our volunteer community, unlocking additional value. We’re looking for new event formats that will increase engagement, nurture givers and create momentum from event to event.

If you're a natural connector and influencer, enjoy collaborating with volunteers, know how to deliver exceptional experiences and are looking for purpose in your day to day work - we'd love to hear from you.

About 10x10

At 10x10, we are rewriting the story of starting. We help game-changing ideas start strong, working with founders, funders and volunteers to offer a different approach to philanthropy. 10x10 becomes the bridge between impactful new ideas and the people who can make them happen so that NFP founders get the funding and resources they need to grow.

Over the last 12 years we’ve supported 553 organisations, engaged over 27k individuals in philanthropy and unlocked over $42M in funding for innovative not-for-profits.

One example of a NFP that has benefited from 10x10 is Orange Sky Australia who provide positive connections to people experiencing homelessness through free laundry, showers and conversation.

In 2015 Orange Sky had just three vans servicing the homeless community in Brisbane and they wanted to expand to NSW. 10x10 Sydney platformed Orange Sky at a community event and raised $11.5K which funded their first van in NSW, kickstarting their expansion.

By stepping onto the 10x10 stage, Co-Founders,

Nic and Lucas learned valuable lessons - not just in pitching their story, but in how to share the impact of their work with clarity and confidence.

Nearly 10 years on, Orange Sky has grown into a national operation, with 68 vans across 47 locations in Australia and an annual operating budget of $14M. In an average week they help provide 2,008 loads of washing and 101 showers to people experiencing homelessness or hardship across metro, regional and remote communities.

Other NFPs in our community include Fighting Chance, ReLove, The Youth Impact Foundation, Consent Labs and Bandu.

Why Join Us

10x10 is on a significant growth trajectory with strong momentum, and the ambition for nationally significant change in the way people find and support non-profits, akin to the early days of the venture capital ecosystem in Australia. We have set an ambitious goal of unlocking $100M of value for the sector by June 2029 and are on track to achieve this target. The 10x10 team and Board have deep experience in finance and investment management, venture capital, philanthropy, not-for-profits, corporate, tech startups, and big tech.

This is a unique prospect to work at the intersection of these fields, and see the impact of your contributions each day.
