About the role

We're looking for an Events Manager to plan, deliver and grow our events and participant engagement activities. You'll own events from concept through to wrap-up, develop our annual events calendar, and take responsibility for event revenue, profitability and budgets.

Reporting to the Directors/BDM and working closely with the marketing team, you'll be a key brand representative at every event, so how we show up matters to us. The right person will fit our culture and brand from day one.

What you'll do

- Lead the planning, coordination and execution of all events, including set-up, running and pack-down

- Identify and secure new event opportunities nationally, and bring them to life

- Develop and manage an annual events calendar

- Take responsibility for event revenue, profitability and budgets, and prepare proposals, budgets and timelines

- Build relationships with event organisers and negotiate commercial arrangements

- Prepare event and safety documentation, and anticipate risks early

- Recruit, train and manage a reliable casual events team, in conjunction with HR

- Work with the marketing team on content and campaigns that support our events

- Report on event performance and continually identify opportunities for growth

About you

- Proven experience delivering events from concept through to wrap-up

- Commercial awareness, with experience managing budgets and negotiating arrangements





- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple events at once

- Excellent communication skills and a professional, confident presence as a brand representative

- Calm under pressure, with a solutions-focused mindset

- Comfortable with regular travel, current driver's licence

- Experience working with a marketing team, and training or managing casual staff, is highly regarded

- Food safety knowledge is desirable

Please note this role involves weekend and out-of-hours work when events are on, with hours adjusted accordingly.
