Job tasks and responsibilities

Main responsibilities will include

· Nursing care including assisting with procedures, iron infusions, health assessments, ECG, spirometry, would dressings.

· Conducting accurate comprehensive assessment of patients presenting to the Practice

· Assess and develop chronic disease management care plans

· Provide comprehensive physical,



psychosocial and emotional care for patients

· Immunisations & Vaccinations

· Maintain regular stock levels according to practice procedures

Skills and experience To be successful in this role, the right candidate will need to:

· Be compassionate and have a caring disposition

· Have a friendly approach and patient-centered focus

· Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse

· Hold a current Nurse Immunisation certificate

· Hold a current CPR Certification

· Have current knowledge of infection control and cold chain procedure

· Have working with Children’s Check

· Have well-developed verbal and written communication skills

· Experience as a Registered Nurse within a GP clinic or private practice

· Have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

· Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to take initiative, to follow instructions

· Knowledge of Best Practice or similar Patient Management System used in Primary Care

· Understand principles of Medicare funding including Practice Incentive Program (PIP) and Service Incentive Payments (SIP)
