The Opportunity

We have casual opportunities available for qualified Extended Care Assistants to join our welcoming team at Yaraandoo.

As an ECA, you'll play an important role in supporting our residents to live with dignity, independence and confidence. From assisting with everyday activities to sharing a conversation, a laugh or a special moment, it's often the little things that make the biggest difference.

You'll work alongside a dedicated team of care professionals who share a genuine commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care.

What you'll do:

- Provide compassionate, individualised care that respects each resident's needs, preferences and independence.
- Assist residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and hydration, and daily living activities.
- Support medication assistance within your training,



competencies and scope of practice.
- Encourage participation in lifestyle, social and wellbeing activities.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families and colleagues.
- Contribute to a safe, welcoming and positive environment where residents feel valued and supported.

What You'll Need

- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent qualification.
- A genuine passion for supporting older Australians and delivering exceptional care.




- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards, or the willingness to learn.
- Strong communication skills and a caring, respectful and collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to work across a range of shifts.
- A satisfactory National Police Check completed within the last three months.
- Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration with NDIS endorsement.
- Evidence of current Australian working rights, including relevant visa documentation where applicable.
