Metro Roller Door Service is a manufacturer, installer, and service provider of commercial and industrial roller shutter doors. Due to continued business growth, we are seeking a reliable and motivated Factory Hand to join our manufacturing team.
About the Role
Working in our factory, you will assist in the manufacture and assembly of high-quality roller shutter doors. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and works well within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble roller shutter doors and components.
- Operate factory machinery and hand tools safely.
- Cut, drill, and prepare steel and aluminium materials.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
· Pickup and delivery of parts/materials
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Perform quality checks on completed products.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist with general factory duties as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous factory or manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential).
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Mechanically minded with positive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read basic measurements and drawings.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence (desirable but not essential).
- Current driver's licence.
