Perth, WA | Mining & Resources | Senior Finance Opportunities

MARS Recruitment is looking to connect with experienced Financial Controllers and senior finance professionals with strong backgrounds across mining, resources and ASX-listed organisations.

We're particularly interested in speaking with commercially minded finance leaders who combine strong technical accounting expertise with operational experience, people leadership and the ability to support businesses through periods of growth, development and change.

The Experience We're Looking For

- Strong financial control, management accounting and statutory reporting experience

- Experience preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports

- Knowledge of ASX reporting, Board reporting and Audit Committee requirements

- Experience managing taxation, compliance and external audit processes

- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capabilities

- Treasury management, cash flow forecasting and banking relationships

- Commercial partnering with CFOs, senior executives and operational stakeholders

- Financial oversight across mining operations, exploration and capital projects

- Experience supporting mining businesses transitioning from construction and development into operational production

- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop finance teams

- Experience improving financial systems, internal controls and reporting processes

- Exposure to ERP systems,



particularly SAP S/4HANA

About You

Ideally, you will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or Finance

- CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification

- 5 years' experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance leadership position

- Extensive experience within mining, resources or mining services

- Previous exposure to ASX-listed environments

- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards, taxation and statutory reporting

- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills

- Strong stakeholder engagement, leadership and change management capabilities
