With the retirement of their long-standing Financial Controller in the Current Year, the organisation is now looking for a long-term successor.

The Role

This exciting and rewarding opportunity will see you working closely with the Managing Director, playing a key role ensuring this company’s future long term success.

This is a very hands-on role, where you will need to apply your strong analytical abilities to evaluate business performance, as well as ensuring all legislative and regulatory obligations are met. Managing an experienced and highly valued Accounts Clerk, you will be responsible for:

- preparation and monitoring of the annual budgets and strategic planning
- monthly management reporting including immersing yourself in the business activities to understand all their drivers, thereby contributing to ongoing financial success
- cash flow management
- all day-to-day financial management including accounts processing and payroll
- preparation and presentation of the Board reporting;
- management of the year-end audit and taxation obligations

About You To be successful in this role,



you will ideally be CA/CPA qualified and have demonstrated senior financial management experience ideally in a contracting or project-based business.

You will be comfortable with and have demonstrated success working across the spectrum from hands-on through to strategically. You will also have excellent attention to detail, a strong customer service focus, a willingness to meet the needs of staff at all levels of staff. You will be able to communicate the financials effectively in laymen’s terms to senior staff and Directors.

This position can either be full-time or part-time (9 days per fortnight or 4 days per week) depending on the capability of the successful candidate.
