FAS Private Wealth is a newly established financial advice business providing personal financial advice to members of Native Title Trusts across Western Australia. Our purpose is to give members access to quality, culturally safe advice that supports their goals, their families and their communities.

We're looking for an experienced Financial Planner who shares that purpose and wants to help build a practice that does things the right way from the very start.

The role

You'll provide personal financial advice to members of the Native Title Trusts we work with, building long-term relationships grounded in trust, respect and clear communication. You'll be:

- Meeting with members to understand their circumstances, priorities and family and community obligations, and providing advice across areas such as superannuation, retirement planning, saving and investing, risk insurance and estate planning considerations

- Explaining advice clearly and plainly, taking the time needed for clients to feel confident in their decisions

- Presenting Statements of Advice and Records of Advice, and implementing recommendations

- Establishing and managing ongoing service arrangements where they're in the client's best interests

- Contributing to member education, such as community information sessions

- Travelling to regional and remote communities as required

- Helping shape the practice's advice processes and client experience as the business grows

- Ensuring all advice meets best interests duty, Code of Ethics and licensee compliance requirements

About you

- Registered on ASIC's Financial Advisers Register and meeting current education and exam standards

- 5+ years' experience as a financial planner in a client-facing role

- Strong technical knowledge across superannuation, investments, retirement income and insurance

- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients or communities, or a demonstrated commitment to cultural learning and culturally secure practice

- Patient, respectful communication, with the ability to explain complex topics without jargon
- A genuine commitment to ethical, client-first advice and putting clients' interests ahead of sales

- Experience with Financial Planning software is highly regarded
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel

Meaningful work, helping members build financial security for themselves and future generations.

Cultural awareness training and ongoing professional development, including CPD support

Opportunity to get in early and influence how a new practice is built
