QR Concrete is seeking experienced Formworkers and Concrete Saw Cutters to join our team delivering aircraft pavement construction at RAAF Base Tindal in the Northern Territory.
We have several full-time FIFO positions available in each trade. This is an exciting prospect to contribute to a Defence infrastructure project building pavements for military aircraft commencing in January 2027.
Applicants must be willing to commit to FIFO work for a minimum of six months or until project completion.
The roles
Formworker: Install and strip formwork shutters for concrete pavement construction, working to specified drawings, levels, dimensions and tolerances. Work closely with the concrete placement team to deliver accurate, high-quality workmanship.
Concrete Saw Cutter: Undertake same day concrete pavement saw cutting to specified joint layouts, depths and tolerances. Take 100mm core samples of placed concrete for QA purposes. Operate and maintain saw-cutting equipment and coordinate with the construction team to meet cutting schedules and quality requirements.
What you’ll need
- A valid Construction White Card.
- A minimum of three years’ experience in the trade you are applying for.
- Availability to work FIFO for at least six months or until project completion.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.
Experience in civil concrete works, large-scale pavements or airfield construction will be highly regarded. Mandatory screening and Defence site access
Applicants must undergo drug and alcohol testing and a police check, and possess valid Australian working rights through Australian citizenship, permanent residency or an approved work visa permitting the required full-time employment.
You must also be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Common Access Card (DCAC) and complete the required Defence and project inductions.
