Our bakery is a busy and welcoming 'must visit' destination in our region, operating seven days a week, from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm.

We take pride in delivering quality products, and friendly service. We are supported by a passionate team who take pride in their work and contribute to the continued success of the business.

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Front of House Manager to lead and manage our front of house team and operations. The Front of House Manager will work with our team to ensure every customer enjoys a welcoming and memorable experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality or retail skilled who thrives in a busy environment, takes pride in their work and enjoys bringing out the best in others.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Directors, you will oversee the day-to-day front of house operations, leading our Front of House Team to deliver outstanding customer service and smooth, efficient service.

You’ll be a visible, hands-on leader who sets the standard, supports your team and ensures the bakery remains a welcoming place for everyone.

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate must be available to work early morning starts and able to work at least one day each weekend.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate and develop the front of house team,



fostering a positive and supportive workplace culture.

- Oversee daily operations, ensuring shifts are appropriately staffed and service runs smoothly.

- Deliver exceptional customer service and confidently resolve customer enquiries and complaints.

- Train and support team members in menu knowledge, dietary requirements, customer service standards and operational procedures.

- Work closely with the back of house team to maintain service quality, product availability and effective communication.

- Manage cash handling, register and EFTPOS reconciliation, stock control, ordering and merchandise displays.

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, food safety and workplace health and safety.

- Coordinate team inductions, provide ongoing coaching and address performance matters as required.

- Support promotions, social media activity and initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive revenue.

- Ensure policies, procedures, checklists and compliance requirements are consistently followed.

About You

You’re an organised, proactive hospitality/retail leader who enjoys being on the floor, leading by example and creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work.

- Previous experience in a hospitality or retail management or supervisory role.

- Strong leadership skills and the ability to develop, motivate and engage a team.

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

- Excellent organisation, time management and attention to detail.

- Confidence managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer concerns professionally.

- A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to jump in wherever needed.

- Availability for early morning starts and at least one weekend day. Flexibility to provide coverage of shifts when required.

- A commitment to workplace safety, food hygiene and responsible service practices.

- Barista experience is desirable.
