Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic Functions and Event Manager to join our team! Your primary goal will be to manage and deliver all events and functions, ensuring profitable outcomes and exceptional customer service. You will lead, train, and mentor staff, and collaborate with managers and chefs to ensure smooth operations.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- Build and train a capable team to deliver high-quality, safe food and beverage services.
- Oversee and coordinate event delivery, liaising with stakeholders and staff.
- Manage function and event sales, budget forecasting, inquiry conversion, and lead generation.
- Work closely with the Marketing team to implement strategies to achieve budget targets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders and customers.
- Actively market event spaces to corporate contacts and engage in local business development.
- Create and cost function packages and products in collaboration with the GM of Hospitality.
- Supervise floor staff to ensure compliance with duties and procedures.
- Ensure setup staff complete all function setup requirements.
Skills and Experience:
- 2 years’ experience as a Functions Manager.
- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen and customer service orientation.
- Ability to lead and motivate a large team.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Passion for events and creating memorable experiences.
