About the role

Are you finishing your degree at the end of 2026 or mid-2027 and looking to start your career in finance? Finance Advisory Co is offering a Permanent, Full-Time Graduate Mortgage Broker Assistant role in our Adelaide CBD office, commencing February 2027. If you are completing your studies in mid-2027, we are happy to hear from you, provided you can work full-time or close to full-time from February 2027. This is a genuine entry point into the mortgage and lending industry. You will work closely with our experienced Mortgage Brokers, learning how to assess a client’s financial position, analyse their borrowing capacity and prepare applications for lenders, then help guide each application through to approval.

You will be given structured, hands-on training from day one. In return, we are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in getting the details right, and is keen to build a long-term career in finance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Communicating with clients to collect information and supporting documents for finance applications

- Reviewing client financials, including payslips, tax returns, business financials and bank statements
- Reviewing and reconciling client living expenses and liabilities
- Completing serviceability and borrowing capacity calculations
- Preparing credit assessments and summarising each client’s position for the Mortgage Broker
- Preparing finance applications for lenders
- Tracking applications through the lending process and responding promptly to lender requests




- Liaising with lenders and third-party professionals including Lawyers, Accountants, Financial Planners and Real Estate Agents
- Maintaining accurate file notes, records and documentation within our CRM and internal systems

What we are looking for

We are looking for a graduate who is completing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business or a related field by mid-2027, and who wants to build a career in mortgage broking and lending.

You will also have

- Solid people skills, with a friendly, professional manner with clients and colleagues
- Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy
- Confidence working with numbers and financial information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A willingness to learn, take on feedback and take ownership of your work

Part-time or casual experience in a client-facing role, or any exposure to banking, accounting or finance (including internships), will be well regarded but is not essential.
