Position Profile: The Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualising innovative visual solutions and creating high quality designs for WA Country Health Services (WACHS) including a variety of print and online assets. The Graphic Designer is also responsible for ensuring all WACHS collateral and assets are portrayed in a consistent and professional manner, in keeping with WACHS, WA Health and State Government guidelines.

This is a Permanent Full Time or Fixed Term Full Time, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Area Profile: The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) is the largest country health system in Australia and one of the biggest in the world, providing health services to approximately half a million people, including 45,000 Aboriginal people, over a vast two and a half million square kilometre area. The organisation comprises seven regions, with a strong network of public hospitals, health services and health centres located across rural and remote Western Australia. Our core business is the provision of quality, accessible health services to country WA residents and visitors.

Suitability Criteria:

Suitability recognises that a range of factors contribute to merit, including skills, knowledge, abilities, behaviours, ethical alignment and relevant operational requirements. The suitability requirements below are derived from the Form and define what will be assessed to determine your suitability for the role:

1. Considerable experience and advanced skills in using Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, video editing applications and the Microsoft Office suite.
2. Advanced skills in creating design and preparing artwork for print and digital formats, that meet branding guidelines.
3. Solid organisational skills with proven experience in coordinating and completing graphic design projects from brief to completion including large print and digital publications to meet specifications and timeframes.
4.



Good communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders; includes the ability to explain design concepts and translate briefs into simple and effective visual communications.
