Position Details The Grounds person plays a key role working within the Property Maintenance Team ensuring the College grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. The role is accountable to the Business Manager and reports directly to the Property Maintenance Manager.

Selection Criteria

- A solid commitment to the ethos of Catholic education and a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the Lumen Christi College community.
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening or general maintenance.
- Experience operating and maintaining gardening machinery and equipment.
- Ability to undertake basic property maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Current C Class WA Driver's Licence.
- Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain.
- Completed, or willing to complete, Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Maintain professionalism with students, parents, staff and visitors.

Desirable
- Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens or a related field.
- Experience working in a school environment.
- Experience maintaining sporting grounds and reticulation systems.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- MR/HR Driver's Licence.
