Peggys Cafe was established in December 2023 by Brooke Heard, and purchased by myself in May 2025.

Peggys Cafe is set across the road from Target in King Street and we specialise in Toasties, Focaccias and Sweet Treats.

We have recently expanded our Breakfast menu and are working within the bounds of our tiny kitchen.

WE are seeking expressions of interest from Cooks or those with a passion for cooking, due to the size of our cafe and the working space we believe a chef may not fit within our ethos BUT if there was someone out there looking for a more laid-back chill kitchen scene, we are your place.

Hours are undecided and will be determined by the experience and drive of the person that applies.





We are an equal prospect employer who works with students from Kaliana and Soon The Bendigo Special School to put them in customer facing positions, so the person we are looking for MUST have an openness to work with these special humans.

Currently Open 7 days 7.30am - 3pm and 8-2 on weekends, the applicant must be available for atleast every second weekend.

Freedom to play with the menu is yours in and around adhering to the budgets of the cafe.

Seating 22 inside and 20 outside, we bring the vibe to king street, excellent customer service is non-negotiable. I encourage my team to be themselves, NO BLACK HERE, show their personality and enjoy their work to the fullest.
