About the Role

Reporting to the Group Executive of Compliance, Risk and Corporate Governance, the Head of Compliance and Corporate Governance provides enterprise leadership across regulatory compliance, compliance monitoring and assurance, breach and incident governance, complaints and dispute resolution, corporate and trustee governance, and in-house legal services.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead, develop and engage the Compliance and Governance streams, including the internal governance, corporate governance and the complaints functions, with explicit objectives, appropriate resourcing, succession planning and professional development.
- Oversee the design, operation and continuous improvement of compliance, complaints, governance and legal processes, systems, controls, records and management information.
- Work closely with the separate risk function to ensure clear role boundaries, coordinated assurance and escalation, while preserving independent compliance oversight and avoiding duplication.
- Develop concise and insightful reporting on compliance obligations, incidents and breaches, complaints, regulatory developments, litigation and governance matters, highlighting trends, systemic issues and required management action.
- Provide trusted, practical and independent compliance, governance and legal advice to the Group Executive Compliance, Risk and Corporate Governance, CEO, Executive Leadership Team,



Board and Board Committees.
- Oversee breach and incident compliance assessment and regulatory reporting, including escalation, notification, root-cause analysis, remediation and identification of systemic issues.
- Maintain constructive relationships with APRA, ASIC, AFCA and other relevant regulators and coordinate regulatory engagements, requests, reviews and submissions within the role’s remit.
- Oversee regulatory change management, including horizon scanning, impact assessment, assignment of accountable owners, implementation tracking and evidence of compliance.

What We’re Looking For

- Senior leadership experience in compliance and governance within superannuation, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing complaints or dispute resolution, in house legal function and appropriately manager external legal advises.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian financial services and prudential regulatory framework as it applies to superannuation trustees, including APRA and ASIC requirements and complaints obligations.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience engaging with regulators, auditors, external advisers and senior internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability and the ability to build a collaborative, accountable and delivery-focused risk team.
