Build something that hasn't been built before.

This is an opportunity to take a leading engineering role in the development of a first-of-its-kind hydrometallurgical processing technology, helping take it from demonstration plant through to commercial deployment and international replication.

Renewable Metals is seeking an experienced Head of Engineering to lead its engineering function, oversee multiple major project workstreams and establish the engineering platform that will underpin the company's future growth.

This is not simply an engineering management position. You will combine technical leadership, project delivery and hands-on engineering authority across a live demonstration plant, a modular reference plant and a major FEED programme.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the CTO, you will take ownership of the engineering function and lead a small internal team while directing specialist EPC/EPCM partners and external engineering consultancies.

Your responsibilities will include

- Engineering Leadership: Lead and develop the internal engineering team, setting technical direction, priorities and engineering standards.
- Demonstration Plant: Provide engineering authority for the Kewdale facility, supporting commissioning, ramp-up, troubleshooting and plant optimisation.
- Reference Plant Development: Lead the engineering design of a modular, containerised processing facility, developed for international deployment, scalability and technology licensing.
- FEED & Project Delivery: Own the engineering delivery of an 8,000 tpa hydrometallurgical facility, including coordination and management of external engineering partners.
- Technical Governance: Oversee design reviews, engineering deliverables, equipment selection, P&IDs;, capital estimates and technical assurance.

- External Partnerships: Act as the client-side engineering lead, setting scope, directing EPC/EPCM contractors and ensuring engineering quality, cost and schedule objectives are achieved.

About You

We are interested in hearing from senior engineering professionals who have built their careers within EPC, EPCM, engineering consultancies or major industrial project environments.

You will ideally bring

- A degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10 years' experience across process plant, minerals processing, chemical processing, hydrometallurgy or similar industrial environments.
- Experience leading engineering delivery across FEED, feasibility, detailed design and commissioning.
- A strong understanding of managing EPC/EPCM contractors and external engineering consultancies.
- Experience taking ownership of engineering scope, technical decisions, design reviews and project deliverables.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, with the ability to manage technical teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Exposure to modular, skid-based or containerised plant design will be highly regarded.

Why Join?

- Take ownership of a technically unique, first-of-its-kind industrial technology.
- Influence the engineering strategy from demonstration through to commercial-scale deployment.
- Work across multiple major engineering programmes simultaneously.
- Play a key role in developing a modular plant platform for international markets.
- Join a growing business where engineering leadership will directly influence its commercial future.

If you have an EPC/EPCM background and are looking for an chance to move beyond traditional project delivery and take ownership of an entire engineering function, we'd like to hear from you.
