About the Role

Reporting to the Group Executive, Compliance, Risk and Corporate Governance, the Head of Risk plays a critical leadership role in strengthening and embedding a robust risk culture across the Fund. The role is accountable for the oversight of enterprise and operational risk, risk appetite, risk profiling and reporting, emerging risks, business continuity and operational resilience, technology and cyber risk oversight, third-party risk management and risk assurance activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Lead, develop and engage the Risk function, with transparent objectives, appropriate resourcing, succession planning and professional development.
- Oversee the design, operation and continuous improvement of the enterprise risk management framework, risk processes, systems, controls, records, management information and risk and compliance (GRC) system.
- Work closely with the separate Compliance and Corporate Governance stream and Internal Audit to maintain clear role boundaries and coordinated assurance and escalation.
- Support constructive engagement with APRA, ASIC and other relevant regulators on risk management, prudential matters, operational resilience and related reviews within the role’s remit.
- Develop concise and insightful reporting on material risks, risk appetite, incidents, control effectiveness, emerging risks and assurance activity, highlighting trends,



systemic issues and required management action.
- Provide trusted, practical and independent risk advice and constructive challenge to the Group Executive Compliance, Risk and Corporate Governance, CEO, Group Executives, Board and Board Committees.

What We’re Looking For

- Senior leadership experience in risk management within the superannuation, financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Australian financial services and prudential regulatory framework as it applies to superannuation trustees, including APRA prudential requirements and expectations for risk management and operational resilience.
- Strong experience designing and operating risk management frameworks, risk appetite statements, risk profiles, key risk indicators, risk reporting and second-line assurance programs.
- Demonstrated people leadership capability and the ability to build a collaborative, accountable and delivery-focused risk team.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience engaging with regulators, auditors, external advisers and senior internal stakeholders on material risk matters.
- Demonstrated ability to identify systemic issues, analyse root causes and translate risk insights into practical control and management actions.
