Our story. It started with a family and their challenge to find disability support that worked for them. They needed more, and knew that people with disability could have more independence, choice and control in their lives. The Hireup purpose was born, and now we strive to enable the pursuit of a good life for everyone.

What You’ll Do - Head of Support Worker Growth & Operations

Hybrid: Wynyard (Sydney), 2 office days per week

As our Head of Support Worker Growth, you will serve as the strategic driver and operational engine behind attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining Australia’s community of support workers. Hireup is disrupting traditional care models through our two-sided digital platform, and this role sits right at the center of our purpose to enable the pursuit of a good life for people with disability.

Sitting at the intersection of marketplace operations, talent acquisition, and workforce experience, you will take ownership of end-to-end support worker lifecycle funnels, local market supply liquidity, and community retention.





You will challenge traditional workforce management by combining product-led lifecycle automation and supply liquidity strategies with human-centred engagement, safeguarding, and community building.

- Marketplace Supply & Growth: Oversee multi-channel worker attraction and recruitment strategies across digital platforms, partnerships, and community initiatives to build robust talent pipelines, optimise lead nurturing funnels, and dynamically balance local supply and demand across Australia.
- Worker Engagement & Retention: Design and execute scalable programs that maximise worker satisfaction, connection, and retention, ensuring workers have access to meaningful hours while fostering vibrant local communities both online and in person.
- Learning, Progression & Safeguarding: Oversee and drive high-quality learning, development, and career pathway initiatives, partnering with external training providers and LMS platforms while upholding regulatory standards, audit compliance, and safety obligations.
- Product Partnership & AI Innovation: Serve as the voice of the our support workers for internal Product, Data, and Operations teams, translating worker insights into platform enhancements and championing human-in-the-loop AI solutions to scale operational impact.
- Team Leadership & Operational Excellence: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, embedding clear OKRs/KPIs, championing a continuous improvement culture, and steering data-informed decision-making.

Your Background
- Marketplace or Workforce Leadership: Proven leadership experience scaling worker supply in a two-sided tech marketplace or leading high-volume workforce strategies within the healthcare, aged care, or disability sector.
- Data-Driven Marketplace Operations: Strong capability to analyse quantitative and qualitative workforce metrics, map supply and demand across diverse local markets,



and drive proactive operational interventions.
- Product & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated success partnering with internal cross-functional teams to design automated lifecycle funnels, improve onboarding conversion, and pilot cutting-edge tech/AI tools.
- People Leadership: A track record of leading, mentoring, and developing diverse teams, driving high performance against OKRs, and influencing cross-functional senior stakeholders.
- Impact-Driven Problem Solver: A resilient, proactive leader with a commercial, strategic mindset and exceptional communication skills, who thrives in fast-changing environments and brings an authentic commitment to the disability sector.
