Head of Year

We are seeking to employ a highly motivated and innovative Head of Year to join the Austin Cove Baptist College Secondary School community. This is a full time position, commencing Term 1 2027.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience overseeing the pastoral care and extracurricular activities of year groups and be able to develop positive rapport with students and families, while maintaining high expectations consistent with our College standards. We require a candidate that has excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, friendly nature and is a conscientious, committed Christian.

About The College

Austin Cove Baptist College of South Yunderup is a co-educational College that commenced in 2011 and currently has approximately 850 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. The College is situated in the Austin Lakes development just east of Mandurah and provides a high standard of education within a Christian context. Selection Criteria

Essential

- To have a personal faith and commitment to Jesus Christ including regular church attendance and a lifestyle consistent with the expectations of Christian faith.

- Be a qualified teacher registered with the TRBWA and hold a Working With Children Check

Highly Desired Qualities
- Be highly motivated and organised





- Have a demonstrated experience leading pastoral care and extracurricular activities

- Have demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum requirements set by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority

- Have demonstrated experience in developing and implementing programs from Year 7-12

- Be an inspiring leader able to initiate and manage change

- Be an able administrator with the capacity to think strategically, consult, plan and delegate

- Be approachable, a good listener and an effective communicator
