About the role The Forrest Centre is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our Griffith team, NSW on a casual basis.

Our Griffith team Home Care Workers play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and independence of elderly people in Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera. This rewarding role involves providing personalised in-home care and assistance to help our participants live fulfilling and independent lives.

We welcome applications from people living in the Griffith, Leeton and Narrandera areas.

What you'll be doing

- Assisting participants with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation and light housekeeping
- Providing companionship and engaging participants in recreational activities to promote physical, social, and emotional wellbeing
- Accompanying participants to appointments, shopping and other personal commitments
- Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
- Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety standards to ensure the highest quality of care

What we're looking for

- A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification in Aged Care or and/or previous experience providing in-home care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting and professional relationships with participants
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our participants
- A reliable, flexible, and adaptable approach to work,



with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A current driver's licence without restrictions, and access to reliable transportation with full comprehensive car insurance
- First Aid/CPR certificate or be willing to undergo training to obtain one
