Zenith Search is partnering with a well-established Western Australian engineering, fabrication and construction business to recruit an experienced HR Manager.

With a longstanding presence in the WA market, our client delivers complex projects across the mining, resources, infrastructure and industrial sectors.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded, hands-on HR leader who thrives in operational environments and enjoys the challenge of managing both people and recruitment functions.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you'll lead a small HR & Recruitment team and play a pivotal role in attracting, developing and retaining the workforce that drives business success.

The Opportunity

This is not a purely strategic HR position. We're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the operations, building relationships with leaders and getting involved in the day-to-day challenges of a busy, project-driven business. Your key responsibilities will include:

- HR Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop the HR & Recruitment team, driving accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
- Recruitment & Mobilisation: Oversee high-volume blue and white-collar recruitment, onboarding and mobilisation across workshop, metro and project-based operations.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with operational leaders to forecast workforce requirements, build talent pipelines and support project delivery.
- Employee Relations: Provide practical advice on ER/IR matters, performance management, investigations and compliance with Awards, Enterprise Agreements and employment legislation.
- Operational Improvement: Manage labour hire and visa processes while improving HR systems, recruitment procedures and workforce reporting.

About You





We're looking for an experienced HR professional who brings a balance of strong generalist HR knowledge, recruitment leadership and commercial awareness. Ideally, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in an HR Manager, HR Lead, Senior HR Business Partner or similar leadership position.
- Strong experience managing high-volume blue-collar recruitment and operational workforces.
- A background in construction, mining, fabrication, engineering or heavy industrial environments.
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and lead a team.

Experience managing labour hire arrangements, employer-sponsored visas and mobilisation processes will be highly regarded. Most importantly, you'll be someone who can balance the bigger picture with the everyday demands of a fast-paced operational business.
