About the Role

- Location: Cambridge, Hobart TAS

- Pay Rate: $33.92 per hour super

- Licence: HR

- Employment: Full time, permanent

- Opportunities: Front Lift, Side Lift and Rear Lift waste collection

We're recruiting across three types of waste collection work:
- Front Lift: Servicing commercial and industrial customers, collecting waste and recycling bins.

- Side Lift:



Operating side-loading collection vehicles on scheduled collection routes.

- Rear Lift / Rear Compactor: Completing waste collection services using rear-loading compactor trucks.

Whether you've worked in waste collection before or have experience driving heavy rigid trucks in another industry, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Join JJ's as an HR Truck Driver / Waste Operator servicing the Hobart area. You'll be behind the wheel of our safe, modern and well-maintained waste collection vehicles, supported by our team and in-truck technology.

Your responsibilities will include

- Safely operating Front Lift, Side Lift or Rear Lift waste collection vehicles.

- Completing scheduled collection runs.

- Loading and unloading bins, including manual handling where required.

- Conducting pre-start vehicle checks.

- Delivering safe, reliable customer service.

What You'll Bring

- A strong work ethic with a reputation for being reliable, punctual and ready to get the job done.

- Experience driving heavy rigid trucks, with waste collection experience highly regarded.

- The ability to follow scheduled driver run sheets while adapting to changing conditions throughout the day.

- The physical capability to safely perform manual handling tasks.

- A positive, professional attitude and a customer-focused approach.





- A genuine commitment to safety and compliance with workplace policies and procedures.

What You'll Need

- A current HR driver's licence.

- Undertake a company pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

- Provide a five-year traffic history at interview.

- Current Australian working rights.
