About the role

Nova Systems is seeking an experienced Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to support the planning, integration and delivery of complex Air and Missile Defence capabilities.

Working within a highly technical Defence environment, you’ll contribute to the development of weapon and integration plans, coordinate logistics and broader Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC), and support the progression of capability through key decision points and project milestones.

This is a diverse role suited to someone who can operate effectively across ILS, capability planning, project management, risk, financial management and stakeholder engagement, while translating complex information into clear plans, reports and executive-level advice.

What you’ll be involved in

- Developing and maintaining weapon and capability plans covering project management, asset management, engineering, certification, ILS, contracting, sustainment and disposal.
- Planning and coordinating weapon integration activities across Defence platforms, including schedules, technical risks, dependencies, cost and FIC considerations.
- Supporting the delivery and integration of testing, logistics support and other capability elements required to achieve operational capability.
- Coordinating project and capability risks, including preparing information for executive and stakeholder committees and reviews.
- Supporting financial management activities, including budget management, Additional Estimates and Budget Estimates.
- Preparing and coordinating monthly reporting, executive briefs, submissions, presentations and Government updates.
- Supporting schedule, resource and stakeholder management across multidisciplinary teams.
- Coordinating data requests, visits, committee actions and other capability-management activities.
- Supporting the development of future capabilities, including Pre-Gate 0 planning and advice, cost models, execution plans, schedules and risk-reduction activities.
- Working collaboratively with Navy and broader Defence stakeholders to support future capability development and delivery.

What we would like from you You’ll bring experience working within Defence capability acquisition, sustainment, ILS or a similarly complex technical environment, with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll have:

- Experience in Integrated Logistics Support and/or Defence capability management.
- Experience developing capability, project, sustainment or integration plans.
- An understanding of Fundamental Inputs to Capability (FIC) and their role in achieving operational capability.
- Experience using Defence ERP and/or COMSARM, or comparable Defence logistics systems
- Experience coordinating project schedules, risks, budgets, dependencies and reporting.
- Solid written communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive briefs,

submissions, reports and presentations.
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills across technical, project and senior leadership groups.
- Experience supporting Defence governance, committees and capability decision-making processes.
- The ability to interpret complex technical and project information and turn it into clear, actionable advice.
- Experience supporting Defence acquisition or sustainment projects, particularly within a complex weapons, maritime or Air and Missile Defence environment, would be highly regarded.

If you’re ready to bring your ILS and capability experience to a complex and important Defence program, we’d love to hear from you. Due to the nature of the work, applicants will be required to meet the relevant Australian Government security clearance and Defence access requirements for the position.
