BMC2IT Solutions provides onsite IT support for retail and commercial businesses. This is an independent subcontractor opportunity to support point-of-sale (POS) and self-checkout (SCO) equipment across Bendigo, Shepparton and surrounding areas. It may suit technicians who already run their own business and are looking to take on additional service calls.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair POS terminals and self-checkout equipment
- Install, replace and configure retail IT hardware and peripherals
- Troubleshoot printers, scanners, payment devices and connectivity issues
- Complete hardware swaps, upgrades and general onsite IT support
- Work with our helpdesk to resolve issues and provide job updates
- Record work completed, including service notes and any required photos
About you
- Previous experience in IT field services, hardware repairs or onsite technical support
- Hands-on experience with POS or SCO equipment is highly regarded
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
- A qualified, friendly approach when dealing with store staff
- An Australian Business Number (ABN)
- A valid driver's licence, reliable transport and your own basic IT tools
- Relevant insurance, or willingness to arrange it before commencing work
- Ability to provide invoices for completed jobs
