Zenith Accountants is a Gold Coast Chartered Accountants practice. We look after individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts.

We're a close team with dedicated admin support, so our accountants spend their time on accounting rather than chasing paperwork. We've just refreshed our brand and we're growing, which is why we're adding to the team.

The role

You'll prepare compliance work across our client base and build towards running your own jobs. Your work will be reviewed by senior staff and the directors, with feedback on every job.

Day to day, you'll:

- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts

- Prepare BAS and IAS and reconcile ATO accounts

- Manage your jobs, time and WIP in XPM

- Process and reconcile client files in Xero, QuickBooks & MYOB

- Liaise with clients, our admin team and the ATO to resolve queries

About you

Essential

- 6–12 months' experience in Australian public practice

- Hands-on experience with Xero Practice Manager (XPM): jobs, timesheets and WIP

- Working knowledge of Xero
- A completed degree in accounting or commerce

- Great organisation,

- Full Australian working rights

Highly regarded

- Exposure to company and trust work, including Division 7A and trust distributions

- Enrolled in, or ready to start, the CA or CPA Program

You're careful with detail, ask questions early and want a long-term career in public practice.

- $62,000 – $70,000 plus super, depending on experience, with a salary review at 12 months
