We’re looking for a glazier who wants to move into an office-based role and learn estimating. You’ll join our customer service team in Alexandria, using your trade knowledge to assess quote requests and work out what each job needs. If you know glass and how a job comes together on site, we’ll help you build the estimating skills to take the next step in your career.
What you’ll do
- Respond to quote requests from customers, contractors and glaziers
- Assess the information provided and identify what’s needed to quote each job accurately
- Follow up for more details when information is missing or unclear
- Work with the customer service team to keep quotes moving
- Learn estimating on the job and take on more as your skills grow
What you’ll bring
- A glazing trade background (essential)
- A practical understanding of glass products and glazing work
- Good attention to detail
- Clear, friendly communication skills, both written and over the phone
- Basic computer skills, or a willingness to build them
- A genuine interest in learning estimating and developing an office-based career
