We’re recruiting for a builder doing fitout and refurbishment work on Defence projects. The pipeline is solid, the team’s growing, and they want to bring someone through properly rather than just fill a gap.
The role:
You’ll be running your own area of the job, with a full team behind you. Programming, coordinating trades, dealing with the client and making the calls that keep things moving will all be part of the week. You won’t be left to figure it out alone, though. There’s support around you from day one, and the business is happy to put the time into your development.
You’ll still be on site and hands-on. It won’t all click overnight, but there’s a real path forward for people who show they want it.
Who they’re after:
- 2-3 years on site in commercial construction
- Reliable, and you know how a job comes together
- Eager, driven and keen to learn
- Has the personality to back it up. You’ll be dealing with trades, clients and the wider team every day
- Open to feedback and willing to back yourself
- Australian citizenship is required (Defence site access and security clearance processes apply)
- White Card
Carpenter, Leading Hand, or a Junior Foreman who’s been quietly running things for a while. A trade ticket helps but isn’t essential. Attitude and how you turn up every day matter most.
