The Client & Mission
Our client is an early-stage, B2B software venture addressing one of the most critical challenges in global commerce: untangling complex supply-chain compliance and sustainability data.
Their cloud platform ingests highly fragmented multi-tier supplier data, standardising and validating it to create a verified audit layer for tier-one global enterprises. Having validated product-market fit with blue-chip customers in North America, they are currently expanding their footprint internationally to keep pace with accelerating regulatory mandates.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the intersection of solutions engineering, data integration, and full-stack software development.
You will work closely with lead systems architects to accelerate client onboarding by transforming heterogeneous enterprise datasets into clean, production-ready schemas, while spending roughly a third of your time contributing features directly to the core web platform.
This engineering group operates with a modern, AI-augmented workflow: developers leverage coding assistants and agentic scaffolding to handle routine boilerplate, focusing their manual efforts on systems design, edge-case testing, and data verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Enterprise Data Onboarding: Ingest, parse, and transform messy client records across varied formats (tabular files, document extracts, enterprise APIs, and legacy PLM/ERP feeds) into standard data models.
- Automation Engineering: Develop scripts, validation pipelines, and repeatable internal utilities to turn ad-hoc onboarding steps into automated workflows.
- Core Product Development: Build full-stack enhancements and bug fixes across the primary web application, closing product gaps surfaced during client deployments.
- Quality Assurance & Verification: Identify data discrepancies, missing fields,
and schema anomalies before production deployments, ensuring strict enterprise-grade data integrity.
- Modern Development Practices: Utilise and iteratively refine AI-assisted development tools, prompts, test harnesses, and code review criteria.
- Technical Collaboration: Participate in client technical scoping sessions alongside senior engineers, documenting integration workflows and feeding field learnings back to the engineering team.
Technical Requirements
- Up to 2 years of professional software development experience, or an impressive portfolio of complex, self-directed production web applications.
- Proficiency in TypeScript across both contemporary front-end frameworks (React or Next.js) and server environments (Node.js).
- Solid foundational SQL knowledge with experience using Python or TypeScript for tabular data manipulation, cleaning, and ETL scripting.
- Direct experience writing code alongside AI coding environments (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot) coupled with the critical judgement to spot hallucinated logic, performance anti-patterns, or subtle bugs.
- A natural instinct for data accuracy-comfortable auditing large datasets and finding discrepancies.
- Exposure to cloud database services (e.g., PostgreSQL, Supabase, or AWS infrastructure)
- An interest in enterprise supply-chain data, ESG transparency, or regulatory reporting.
What Makes This Role Unique
- High Technical Leverage: Join a lean, high-velocity engineering team that treats AI-native development as standard practice rather than an experiment.
- Direct Senior Mentorship: Regular 1:1 architectural reviews and structured pair programming with experienced technical leadership.
- Clear Upward Mobility: Rapid transition from guided implementation tasks to autonomous module ownership, with defined milestones for leveling into a mid-level engineer.
