We are working with a boutique law firm who are seeking a junior corporate lawyer (1–3 PQE) to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Prospect A rare chance for an early-career lawyer to step into a highly regarded corporate practice acting for junior ASX-listed entities and sophisticated private companies. You will work on quality corporate matters from day one, take on real responsibility early, and work closely with clients and key decision-makers instead of sitting at the bottom of a large team. You will join a collegiate, collaborative team where everyone works closely together and decisions are made quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting on capital raisings, including placements, rights issues and associated ASX disclosure documents.
- Supporting M&A; transactions, particularly in the resources and technology sectors.
- Assisting with ASX Listing Rules, continuous disclosure and Corporations Act compliance.
- Drafting and reviewing transaction documents, board papers and corporate agreements.
- Conducting due diligence and legal research.
- Building direct client relationships and working alongside senior lawyers, company boards and executives.
About You
- A corporate lawyer with 1–2 PQE gained in a corporate firm or the corporate team of a top-tier or leading mid-tier firm.
- Some exposure to ASX-listed companies,
capital markets or M&A; work.
- Interest in the resources or technology sectors will be highly regarded.
- Strong drafting skills, attention to detail and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- A team player looking for more responsibility, client contact and faster development than a larger firm typically offers.
