Two roles, Associate and Senior Associate – Corporate & Commercial (Resources, Renewables & Foreign Investment)

Opportunities in Corporate & Commercial | Resources, Energy & Foreign Investment

Due to continued growth, opportunities exist for both an Associate (2-4 years PAE) and a Senior Associate (4-7 years PAE) to join a highly regarded Corporate & Commercial team with a strong reputation in the resources and energy sector.

These roles offer exposure to complex, high-value transactional work across domestic and international markets, working alongside experienced practitioners on matters that are shaping the energy transition and Australia's foreign investment landscape.

You'll work on a broad mix of corporate and commercial matters, including:

- Mergers, acquisitions, sales and joint ventures across the resources, energy and industrial sectors
- Foreign investment approvals, including FIRB applications and regulatory engagement
- Development, sale and acquisition of renewable and low-emissions energy projects
- Commercial contracts and corporate advisory work for listed and large private companies
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional transactions spanning Australia, North America and Asia
- Restructuring, insolvency and general corporate governance matters

This is a genuine opportunity to work on market-leading transactions in one of the most active sectors of the Australian economy, with direct client contact and increasing responsibility for the carriage of matters.

About You

Associate (2-4 years PAE)





We're interested in lawyers who have:

- 2-4 years' PAE in corporate and commercial law
- Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts or general corporate advisory matters
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
- A commercial approach and a genuine interest in the resources, energy or renewables sectors
- The ability to build strong client relationships and work effectively within a team-oriented team

Senior Associate (4-7 years PAE)

We're seeking candidates with

- 4-7 years' PAE in corporate/commercial law, ideally with exposure to resources, energy or foreign investment matters
- Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills across M&A; transactions, joint ventures and commercial agreements
- A genuine interest in the energy transition, ESG and cross-border investments
- Confidence managing client relationships and overseeing multiple matters concurrently
- The ability to mentor and support more junior lawyers
