About You

As a Lecturer Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship, you will deliver engaging training and assessment to students commencing their journey into the electrical industry. You will develop practical and theoretical learning experiences, assess student competency, maintain industry currency and foster a safe and supportive learning workplace. Working closely with industry and colleagues, you will equip students with the foundational skills, knowledge and behaviours required to successfully progress into electrical apprenticeships and employment.

Suitability Requirements To be considered suitable for this position, you will:

- Hold an Australian or equivalent qualification in Electrical or electronics (no electrical license required). If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have your tertiary or higher education qualification(s) recognised.
- Have at least 5 years industry experience
- Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122, TAE40116, TAE40110),



or a secondary teaching qualification with an Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011, TAESS00019, or TAESS00024) in line with the Registration Standards 2025. Applicants who do not yet hold the required VET qualification may still apply; however, the successful candidate must enrol in an approved training and assessment qualification and complete it within two years of commencing.
- Have relevant skills and experience to meet the selection criteria and role requirements as outlined in the JDF.

Eligibility Requirements and Other Conditions To be considered eligible for employment, you will:

- Possess current and valid Australian working rights (e.g. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or an appropriate working visa). Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Hold, or have the ability to obtain:
- Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- Working With Children (WWC) Card
