PJL supports the mining industry through asset hire, maintenance services, labour and project support, mechanical and engineering services, and the manufacture and supply of mining-related products.

About the role

Join our mechanical team as a Light Vehicle Mechanic at our Leewood Drive workshop in Orange, NSW.

You will service, diagnose and repair a range of light vehicles across the PJL fleet, which has an average vehicle age of less than five years. You will carry out repairs to a high standard and ensure vehicles meet roadworthiness requirements.

You will also respond to light vehicle breakdowns during standard work hours, maintain the stock levels needed for routine servicing and complete service and repair paperwork to keep vehicle records up to date.

Your Skills

- Australian-recognised mechanical trade qualification relevant to light vehicles




- Experience carrying out high-quality servicing and repairs
- Dealership experience an advantage
- Solid focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and other stakeholders in a busy workshop
- Willingness to be inducted and participate in shutdown works at Cadia Mine
