Newcastle Machine Shop is seeking an experienced and motivated Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our workshop team and oversee daily manufacturing operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, hands-on engineering professional who enjoys leading people, solving manufacturing challenges and improving workshop performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate workshop personnel.
- Plan and allocate work to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor productivity, machine utilisation and job progress.
- Provide technical support to machinists and apprentices.
- Oversee CNC and conventional machining operations.
- Maintain quality standards and workplace safety.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity.
About You:
- Trade qualified Fitter & Machinist or equivalent experience.
- Solid CNC and conventional machining knowledge.
- Previous workshop leadership experience.
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
