Maintainence Leading Hand Required! Your new company An opportunity isavailable for an experienced Maintenance Leading Hand to join a major miningoperation in North West Queensland. This position would suit a trade-qualifiedHeavy Diesel Fitter with strong mobile plant experience who is confidentleading a maintenance crew while remaining hands-on when required.

Your new role

Working as part ofthe mobile maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading tradespeopleacross planned and breakdown maintenance activities. You will coordinate dailymaintenance priorities, provide technical support to the crew and ensure equipmentis maintained safely and efficiently.

Duties will include

- Leading and supporting a mobile maintenance crew
- Coordinating planned servicing, repairs and breakdown maintenance
- Providing hands-on technical and fault-finding support
- Allocating work and managing daily maintenance priorities
- Supporting supervisory responsibilities when required
- Working closely with maintenance and operations teams
- Assisting with parts, tooling and equipment requirements
- Ensuring repairs and maintenance are completed safely and to site standards
- Promoting a strong safety culture across the crew

What you'll need to succeed To be considered forthis position, you will ideally have:





- Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent trade qualification
- Previous mining experience within heavy mobile plant maintenance
- Leading Hand, supervisory or acting supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of servicing, breakdown and preventative maintenance
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- G1, G8, G9 competencies and RIIRIS402E G2 highly regarded
- Ability to lead a crew while maintaining a hands-on approach
- Strong commitment to safety
- Ability to complete pre-employment and site onboarding requirements

What you'll get in return

- $75 to $80 per hour depending on experience
- 14 days on, 14 days off
- 7 days followed by 7 nights
- FIFO from Brisbane or Townsville
