About the Role:

We are seeking a Maintenance Officer on a full time basis to join our team in a travel between sites role across our aged care homes located throughout the Northern Sydney Suburbs and Northern Beaches.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, is flexible with work locations, and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care.

As a valued member of our team, you will play an important role in ensuring our homes are maintained to a high standard, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The successful candidate will be a reliable who is committed to supporting the smooth operation of our homes and enhancing the quality of life of those in our care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance throughout the facility such as repairs, painting, lighting replacement, gutter cleaning and basic plumbing

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and minimise disruption to residents

- Maintain gardens, grounds and outdoor areas to a high standard.

- Follow preventative maintenance programs to ensure timely upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas

- Identify, report, and address hazards in line with work health and safety procedures





- Obtain quotes for repairs or maintenance works as directed by the House Manager

- Provide friendly, professional service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff

- Build positive relationships with residents through a respectful, approachable, and supportive manner

About You:

- Police Check (National Police Certificate) (Essential)

- Current Driver’s License Class C (Essential)

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience completing maintenance for commercial businesses (desirable)

- Previous experience as a Maintenance Officer in Aged Care (preferrable)

- Trade certificate or equivalent qualification. (preferrable)

- Knowledge of Work, Health and Safety Requirements

- Possess good communication and organisational skills.

- Be able to work proactively to identify maintenance problems, including regularly inspecting and assessing repair work; and

- Have the ability to recognise, escalate and resolve maintenance matters which require further assistance.
