Your opportunity

We are seeking a resourceful Maintenance Planner to join our Property Services team. Based at our Lismore campus, you will coordinate maintenance schedules and statutory compliance requirements across University campuses and student accommodation, acting as the central link between incoming requests, internal facilities teams and external contractors. With a focus on proactive planning, timely service delivery and effective asset management, you will play an important role in keeping our facilities operating safely and efficiently.

You will make an impact by:

- Managing the University's maintenance management database (Archibus), including allocating, monitoring and closing work orders, maintaining accurate records and producing performance reports.
- Scheduling and tracking statutory and essential safety measures inspections, testing and certification, ensuring compliance records are current and audit-ready.
- Developing and coordinating planned and preventative maintenance schedules and asset registers to support effective maintenance planning across University campuses and student accommodation.
- Acting as a key point of contact for maintenance requests and enquiries, coordinating communications and providing responsive service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitoring maintenance activity, contractor performance and expenditure,

identifying trends and opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce reactive maintenance costs.

What You Will Bring You are a solutions-focused professional with a practical understanding of building maintenance and experience coordinating work in a busy operational environment. Success in this role will require strong planning and organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to build effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. To succeed in this role, you will also need:

- Demonstrated experience in building or facilities maintenance, through a trade, technical or facilities coordination background, ideally in a large or multi-site organisation, or an equivalent combination of qualifications, training and experience.
- Proven ability to develop and manage planned and preventative maintenance programs, organise competing priorities and coordinate work to meet required timeframes.
- Experience using a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage work orders and asset registers, and the ability to analyse maintenance data and report on performance and trends. Experience with Archibus and T1 would be highly regarded.

- Working knowledge of contractor management, WHS requirements and statutory compliance obligations in a facilities environment, including essential safety measures and inspection and testing regimes.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a commitment to responsive service and the ability to work effectively with internal teams, contractors and other stakeholders.
