Our client is a large NSW Government agency seeking an experienced Manager Operations. This is an excellent opportunity to lead operational service delivery, procurement governance, contract management, and compliance functions within a complex and fast-paced environment.
About the role
- Lead the day-to-day operations and business administration functions of the Office of Strategic Lands.
- Oversee procurement activities and ensure compliance with the NSW Procurement Policy Framework, probity requirements and internal policies.
- Manage contracts and service providers, including oversight of the Ground Maintenance and Bushfire Risk Mitigation Contract.
- Support governance, risk, WHS and compliance activities across the business.
- Monitor operational performance, reporting, KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate audits, inspections and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and service providers.
About You
- Proven experience in operations management within NSW Government or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of the NSW Procurement Policy Framework and procurement governance requirements.
- Experience managing contracts, suppliers and service providers.
- Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
- Experience developing policies, procedures and operational frameworks.
- Knowledge of risk, compliance, audit and WHS requirements.
Benefits
- $70-$90 per hour + super.
- Contract until 30 June 2027.
- Hybrid working arrangement based in Parramatta.
