We are seeking an experienced and reliable MC Truck Driver to join our team, based in Wagga Wagga, operating a regular shuttle service between Wagga Wagga and Dubbo, with freight distribution and deliveries to regional towns along the route.
This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited to a driver who enjoys regional driving, takes pride in their work and is willing to assist with general depot operations when required.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include
- Operating an MC combination on a regular Wagga Wagga–Dubbo shuttle run.
- Completing freight deliveries and collections to regional towns along the route.
- Loading and unloading general freight, including manual handling.
- Securing, restraining and checking freight to ensure safe transportation.
- Assisting with general depot duties and operations where required.
- Providing support to other depot teams when operationally necessary.
- Operating a forklift for loading and unloading where required.
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining accurate freight records.
- Conducting daily vehicle inspections and maintaining vehicle presentation.
- Complying with Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and workplace safety requirements.
- Providing professional and reliable customer service at delivery and collection locations.
About You To be successful in this position, you will have:
- A current and valid MC Heavy Vehicle Licence – essential.
- Previous general freight transport experience – highly desirable.
- Dangerous Goods Licence – desirable.
- Current Forklift Licence – desirable.
- Experience loading, unloading and securing general freight.
- The physical fitness and capability to undertake a physically demanding role involving regular manual handling.
- A willingness to assist with depot operations and general duties when required.
- A strong commitment to safety and compliance.
- Good communication, time management and organisational skills.
- A reliable, flexible and team-focused attitude.
- The ability to work independently and manage regional delivery schedules.
Working Arrangements
- Position based in Wagga Wagga, NSW.
- Regular shuttle run between Wagga Wagga and Dubbo.
- Freight deliveries and collections to regional towns along the route.
- Approximately 5 nights away from home per fortnight.
- Physically active, hands-on driving and depot support position.
- Flexibility to assist at depots as operational requirements arise.
