About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechanical components and systems that meet customer specifications and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings based on customer requirements or approved design modifications.

- Generate Bills of Materials and detailed manufacturing drawings.

- Collaborate with sales and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet customer expectations and best practices.

- Provide technical support to production and fabrication teams.

- Maintain and update design documentation and drawing files.

- Participate in engineering reviews, working groups, and design forums.

- Ensure compliance with Tectonica’s policies, safety standards, and Quality Management System.

- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to refine designs and identify improvement opportunities.





To thrive in this role, you will bring:

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant mechanical trade qualification.

- Proven experience as a drafter with at least 2 years using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Experience with M1 ERP software (advantageous).

- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes.

- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to estimate drafting hours and manage time effectively.

- A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.

- Flexibility to adapt to current technologies, tasks, and procedures.

- Australian Citizenship essential
