We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for multiple permanent opportunities with a well-established national organisation operating within the industrial and engineering sector.

About the Role Working as part of an experienced maintenance and engineering team, you will be responsible for mechanical fitting, maintenance, repairs and servicing of industrial equipment.
Depending on your experience, you may also have the opportunity to work with gearboxes and develop specialist knowledge through on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out mechanical fitting, maintenance and repair work on industrial equipment.
- Perform mechanical inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting.
- Assist with gearbox maintenance, repairs and overhauls.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to ensure equipment operates efficiently and reliably.
About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A recognised Mechanical Fitting trade qualification.
- Previous experience in an industrial or workshop environment.
- Gearbox experience would be highly regarded, although training can be provided.
- The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- A robust commitment to workplace health and safety.
- A reliable, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively within a team.
Additional tickets and training:
- Forklift (LF) licence would be advantageous.
- Crane qualifications would be advantageous.
- Training can be arranged for suitable candidates who do not currently hold these qualifications.

- Competitive hourly rate of $48–$52 per hour, depending on experience super.
- 38-hour working week.
- Rotating roster: 4 days on, 4 days off, followed by 4 days on and 2 days off, alternating between Monday–Thursday and Tuesday–Friday working patterns.
