We are currently seeking experienced Pump Fitters and Mechanical Fitters with a strong, genuine pump-fitting background for multiple opportunities across established WA mining operations.
These roles offer excellent hourly rates, attractive FIFO rosters and ongoing work for experienced tradespeople with specialist pump-fitting knowledge.
Important: We are specifically looking for tradespeople with hands-on pump-fitting experience. General fixed-plant Mechanical Fitters without a genuine pump-fitting background will not be suitable.
POSITION 1 - KCGM
Surface Pump Fitters - Dredging Equipment
- Surface-based role working on dredging equipment.
- 2:1 FIFO roster.
- 12-hour days and nights.
- Ongoing work.
- Back-to-back opportunities available.
Pay Rates:
- $85 per hour - Days.
- $95 per hour - Nights.
POSITION 2 - SOUTHERN CROSS
Multiple Pump Fitter Opportunities
- 1 x Surface Pump Fitter.
- 2-3 x Underground Pump Fitters.
- Underground applicants must have previous underground mining experience.
Roster & Hours:
- Underground: 8:6 roster.
- Rotating day and night shifts.
- 12-hour shifts.
- $10 per hour uplift on all underground hours.
Pay Rates:
- $85 per hour - Days.
- $95 per hour - Nights.
- Additional $10 per hour uplift for underground positions.
Essential Experience & Skills
Successful applicants must have a genuine pump-fitting background, including hands-on experience with:
- Hydraulic systems.
- Centrifugal pumps.
- Slurry pumps.
- Diaphragm pumps.
- Diesel pumps.
- Pump installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Dewatering systems, tailings dams or pond projects.
Additional requirements:
- Relevant Mechanical Fitting trade qualifications.
- Previous mining experience.
- Underground mining experience for underground positions.
- Current Police Clearance or willingness to obtain one (must be issued within the last month).
- Solid commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
