Our client is a global pharmaceutical organisation with a strong reputation for innovation, patient focus and long-term investment in specialty medicines. With an exciting late-stage pipeline and ambitious growth plans, they are seeking a strategic Medical Manager to support a highly visible pre-launch asset and help shape its journey towards registration, reimbursement and commercialisation.
About The Opportunity
This is far more than a traditional Medical Affairs role. Joining at a critical stage of development, you will play a key role in shaping medical strategy, evidence generation, external expert engagement and cross-functional launch readiness activities. Working across Medical, Commercial, Market Access and Patient Affairs, you will help build the platform for a successful launch while influencing business decisions across the broader organisation.
The role combines strategic head-office responsibilities with targeted external engagement, offering exposure to the full product lifecycle and a genuine pathway towards broader asset leadership.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the medical strategy for a pre-launch asset.
- Drive evidence generation, data planning and scientific engagement activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external experts and stakeholders.
- Plan and deliver advisory boards to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Market Access teams and Patient Affairs to support stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Provide medical leadership across launch readiness projects and cross-functional teams.
- Translate clinical data and stakeholder insights into actionable business strategies.
You will bring:
- Experience within Medical Affairs as an MSL, Medical Advisor, Senior Medical Advisor or Medical Manager.
- Strong scientific credibility and ability to engage effectively with healthcare professionals and external experts.
- Experience contributing to medical strategy, evidence generation or launch planning activities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence within cross-functional environments.
- Experience working with Commercial, Market Access or broader stakeholder groups will be highly regarded.
- Robust communication, stakeholder management and strategic thinking skills.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the strategy of a high-profile asset before launch. It provides broader exposure to registration, reimbursement and commercialisation activities and a genuine pathway towards future asset leadership responsibilities.
