We are seeking a friendly and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated teams at Laserway on Davey in Hobart TAS and Healthology Medical Centres in Rokeby, TAS and Rosny, TAS, on a casual basis, with the potential to become part-time. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
Key responsibilities
- Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and professional manner
- Handling patient inquiries and booking appointments & managing referrals
- Maintaining accurate patient records and medical histories
- Coordinating the flow of patients through the clinic
- Assisting with administrative tasks as required
- Providing excellent customer service and contributing to a positive clinic environment
About you
- Previous experience in a medical reception or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of medical reception experience is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Experience with Best Practice medical or Zed Med practice management software is an advantage
- A friendly,
professional and empathetic demeanour
- A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
