General Practice Medical Receptionist in well known busy medical centre in East Toowoomba required.

GPs on Curzon is looking for additional Receptionist to join our team on part time basis. Offering 2 to 3 days a week plus leave coverage

Reporting directly to the Practice Manager, the role involves reception duties including liaising with patients, Doctors and other health care providers, as well as general administration duties. We are a private clinic therefore knowledge of private billing using Best Practice Software is an advantage. This position will suit someone use to working in a busy environment. A number of other software programs are utilised and you will need to be trained in this.

Our centre is open from Monday to Friday from 8 am until 5 pm and on a Saturday morning from 8 am until 12.00 pm.

Key Responsibilities

· Greeting patients and other service providers

· Collecting, entering and maintaining accurate and up to date details in Practice Management database.





· Scheduling appointments including various medicals and their components.

· Ensuring accurate billing for patients as well as online claiming of advantages

· Answering telephone enquiries

· Administration support and other ad-hoc administration duties.

· Mail distribution.

Experience and Attributes

· Previous medical reception experience essential

· Well presented and professional manner and team orientated

· Highly organised with time-management skills

· Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise with excellent attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient computer skills (knowledge of Best Practice Software is an advantage but not essential).

· Ability to work both within a team and independently.
