About the role

Assist with ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely processing of data for reporting purposes along with managing day to day banking processes and reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

- Identify process improvements and report system issues in the policy admin system to management and technical support

- Ensure timely follow-up on dishonoured payments and debtor accounts of policyholders

- Approve and upload files to the bank for payment processing

- Process and authorise customer credit card and bank refunds in accordance with company policy

- Handle chargebacks and ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements

- Identify and rectify declined claims and refunds on bank statements

- Prepare monthly debtors report and provide insights to management

- Work with the development team to review and improve processes and functions for accurate financial/bordereaux reporting to underwriters

- Assist in full end to end bank reconciliations of large data set bank reconciliations





- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all financial transactions

- Maintain accurate filing and scanning of accounts documentation.

- Respond to finance-related banking and reporting queries.

- Collaborate with other departments to resolve account-related issues promptly.

About you

- Strong analytical skills and good understanding of large dataset reconciliations

- Robust mathematical background

- Able to present well formatted data, which is clear, concise and answers questions posed

- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks

- Strong excel skills

- Ability to handle complex queries and provide effective solutions

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Proficiency in payment processing systems and Microsoft Office Suite

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
