About True Embrace

True Embrace is a Sydney-based NDIS provider built on one idea: the right person, not just the right service. We match every worker carefully to the people they support, so relationships are built on trust and consistency.

The role

We’re looking for caring, patient support workers to join a small team supporting a family of children in Willoughby. The children are aged between 5 and 14, and have autism and ADHD. You’ll help them with their evening and weekend routines, support their independence, and make sure they feel safe, heard and having fun.

The shifts

- Tuesday to Friday: 5pm to 8pm

- Saturday: morning shift [time, e.g. 9:30am to 11:30am, however this could slightly vary]

We are consistently being asked to support participants in the local area and so your hours are likely to increase with time.

What you’ll do

- Help with dinner, play, and getting ready for bed

- Follow each child’s support plan, including routines and strategies that help them

- Stay calm and kind, including when things get busy

- Write transparent shift notes after every shift

About you

- Patient, warm and reliable

- Experience with children or young people with autism or ADHD, or a keen interest in learning

- Studying or experienced in social work, psychology, education or allied health? Great, but not needed

- Able to work in the evenings and on some Saturdays

Requirements

- A Working With Children Check (or willing to get one)

- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to get one)

- A current National Police Check

- Current First Aid and CPR

- Australian work rights

- Reliable transport to Willoughby
- The NDIS Worker Orientation Module, which is free and online

What we offer

- Regular, predictable shifts

- Penalty rates on weekends

- Training, plus a team that supports you

How to apply

Click Apply, include your resume and a short note about your experience, and tell us which shifts suit you.
